Job Title: Senior AWS Data Engineer Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 06 Months Experience Required: 8 years Job Description: We are seeking a skilled engineer to join our team in Toronto for a 6-month contract. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with cloud computing, data management, and process optimization. This role requires a proactive individual who can work collaboratively and communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Required Skills & Qualifications Strong knowledge of Amazon Web Services (AWS) and its related services Hands-on experience with Python, Spark, AWS Glue, and Redshift Proficient in using Airflow, CloudWatch, and Kibana for scheduling and monitoring Experience with AWS EMR services Expertise in migrating workloads from on-premises to the cloud Strong understanding of incident, problem, and change management Excellent problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot and optimize automated processes Capability to analyze business processes and identify automation opportunities Skill in data interpretation and making data-driven decisions Excellent communication skills to interact with stakeholders and team members Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with databases like SQL, Netezza, and Big Data tools like Hadoop Familiarity with Data Lake, Data Warehouse, and ETL/ELT processes Experience with AWS cloud and data management Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and maintain cloud-based solutions using AWS and related technologies Collaborate with team members to design and implement data-driven solutions Monitor and optimize data processes to ensure efficiency and reliability For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
