Job Title: Senior Data Engineer – Snowflake/DBT Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 06 Months Job Description: We are seeking a Senior Data Engineer with expertise in Snowflake and DBT to join our team in Toronto. This role requires a deep understanding of cloud data platforms and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve data-driven business objectives. Required Skills & Qualifications Deep understanding of the Snowflake cloud data platform, including writing procedures, functions, UDFs, and window functions (5 years experience). Strong hands-on experience with DBT for modular SQL development, testing, and deployment (3 years experience). Proficient in writing complex, efficient, and maintainable SQL queries. Experience with cloud environments such as Azure and AWS, and data management technologies. Proven ability to design and implement data extraction, transformation, and loading processes. Proficiency in using Git and Azure DevOps for version control of code. Experience with IT automation, batch scheduling, and DevOps principles. Ability to mentor junior resources and share knowledge effectively. Stay updated with the latest Snowflake features and best practices. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with Python scripting. Real-time hands-on experience with Snowflake, DBT, and EDW. Strong expertise in writing complex PL SQL queries and PROD support experience. Familiarity with Agile delivery and P&C domain experience. Day-to-Day Responsibilities Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet data-driven business objectives. Mentor junior resources and share knowledge, working as a team to deliver requirements.
