Job Title: Senior Azure Data Engineer Location: Toronto, Ontario Duration: 06 Months Experience Required: 8 years Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Senior Azure Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines, implementing data ingestion flows, and designing and optimizing data models and transformations. Required Skills & Qualifications Expertise in Azure Data Factory and Azure Databricks Proficiency in SQL, PySpark, and Spark SQL Experience with Azure Synapse Analytics and Azure SQL Strong understanding of DevOps automation using Azure DevOps and Jenkins Ability to perform root cause analysis and resolve production issues Preferred Skills & Qualifications Experience with data ingestion from diverse sources like Azure Blob Storage, Azure Data Lake, On-Prem SQL, SFTP, and NoSQL databases Familiarity with cloud-native data formats such as CSV and JSON Knowledge of performance tuning techniques for Azure Synapse and SQL DW Experience with CICD pipeline creation Strong documentation skills including runbooks, technical design specs, and QA test cases Day-to-Day Responsibilities Develop and maintain scalable, fault-tolerant data pipelines Build orchestration workflows in Azure Data Factory Collaborate on the creation and maintenance of CICD pipelines Perform data model and transformation optimizations For immediate consideration please click APPLY to begin the screening process with Alex.
