The successful candidate will meet the following conditions of employment: Be legally entitled to work in Canada; Produce current satisfactory background checks; Valid class 5 Driver’s license preferred; Be physically capable of performing all child care duties; Have current First Aid and CPR Level C Certification. Furthermore, the successful candidate will have the following qualifications: Ability to genuinely and supportively care for children/youth in crisis; Ability to provide guidance and supervision to the children/youth in all daily activities; Understanding of Indigenous history and its impact on children/families today; Ability to establish strong, positive working relationships with co-workers; Experience in completing written work such as reports, forms and logs; Demonstrated ability to be punctual, organized, consistent and, to show initiative; Experience in preparing nutritious meals and snacks; Knowledge of the CFS system and standards related to the care of children;
