Description :Job Functions:Troubleshoot, diagnose, overhaul and repair equipment related to Gas Compression & Energy Power Generation: natural gas & diesel engines, compressors, generators and attachmentsMaintain Finning’s Customer Service Commitments, interact with customers, sales support, and the rest of the Finning teamProviding support with reference to on-site safety requirementsVarious related duties as requiredQualifications:Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician Certification (Red Seal)Demonstrated experience with all makes of Gas Compression equipment (G3500/G3600 A4 an asset)Dedication to safetyCompletion or in the process of completing Finning S-Level coursesSolid organizational skills with ability to prioritize and work independently, without supervision often in remote locations.Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbalExperience with commissioning is considered an assetA condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respiratorGas Compression and Well Servicing experience is an assetPrevious field service experience and experience with natural gas engines and compressors would be considered assetsNon-Caterpillar experience such as Waukesha, Ariel, Cummins, etc is recognized as an asset*NOTE:Travel is required throughout Alberta and NWTPreference for candidate locations are Edmonton, Calgary, Red Deer and Grande PrairieThis position will be primarily field basedTraining and experience in gas compression is an assetA condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respiratorAny future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective AgreementCandidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreementUnion Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position.
