Radiation Therapist, Radiation OncologyLocation: Victoria, BCEmployment Type: Full timeCompensation: $55 to $65 per hour depending on experienceCentral Victoria Veterinary Hospital is welcoming a Radiation Therapist at our Emergency & Specialty Referral Centre.This role works closely with our Radiation Oncology team to provide radiation services and patient care by established policies and standards of professional practice for radiation therapy. Responsibilities will include RT delivery and follow-up in addition to other duties. The Radiation Oncology service offers leading-edge care for patients in need of diagnosis and treatment related to various types of cancer. Our equipment includes a new Varian Halcyon, on-site CT and MRI. This team also works closely with our Medical Oncology and Surgical Oncology Services. Successful candidates will ideally possess a degree in Radiation Therapy or a recognized certificate and be Canadian Association for Medical Radiation Technologists (CAMRT) Certified. Previous experience working in veterinary medicine is an asset but not a requirement. A strong interest in learning about veterinary medicine and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment are essential.Schedule: This position offers some flexibility for part-time to full-time hours. The department is currently open Monday through Thursday each week.
