Our complimentary shuttle also picks up our employees from the bus loop at UBCOWhat will you be doing?Set up and take down events according to Banquet Event OrdersGreet and welcome client representative and guests, responding to requests in a timely, friendly and efficient mannerProvide food & beverage service throughout the banquetMaintain high standards of safety and cleanlinessConsistently offer professional, friendly and warm hospitality to all guests Foster and practice teamwork and cooperation with all other positions existing in the hotel Ensure guest satisfaction throughout the meal serviceAnswer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessaryMonitor food quality and presentation standardsOther duties as assigned or required What are we looking for?Previous restaurant experience is an assetValid Serving it Right Certificate (or willing to obtain upon hire)High attention to detail with the ability to remain calm under pressure while working in a fast-paced environmentExcellent organizational skills with the ability to take direction and prioritizeStrong oral and written communication skillsAbility to maintain a level of professional urgency and momentumMust be available to work varied shifts; weekends, holidays, days, and eveningsOpen availabilityPerksExtended Health and Dental BenefitsWorld-wide accommodation and dining discounts with Marriott brandsEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining, Marina, and Heath & Wellness services at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort and Eldorado Marina, and Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport). An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development.Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Four Points family
