About the roleWe’re looking for a Unit Claims Manager, Property, to join our growing teamAs a Unit Claims Manager for a Property team based out of Mississauga, you will be responsible for providing leadership and technical expertise to a team of claims professionals. You and your team will be accountable for providing quality service, completing work processes effectively and efficiently, and continuously identifying areas of improvement.What you'll do here:Participate in the development and implementation of business plans and manage operations to achieve key business goalsProvide effective leadership, motivate staff and be responsible for hiring and delivering employee performance feedbackProvide coaching on technical and professional skills for your team and facilitate continuous learning by building robust development plans for your employeesDevelop, recommend and implement management and/or organizational initiatives to support company strategies including changes to organizational structure and process/technology improvementsAct in a consultative and advisory capacity on claims matters such as, policy interpretation and settlement negotiation to help resolve claims-related issuesLiaise with other claims experts on technical and administrative issuesMaintain productive business relationships and effective communication other claims teams, underwriting and vendorsWhat you bring to the tableA minimum of 5 years work experience in claims handling or prior leadership experienceProperty claims experience is an assetUniversity degree or any combination of training and experience deemed relevant for the roleCompleted or are working toward a Chartered Insurance Professional (CIP) designationLeadership skills including the ability to motivate and coach staff to deliver resultsStrong communication and customer service skillsSelf-driven attitude and an advocate of leading changeAbility to analyse and interpret data to drive innovationThis posting expires 2 January 2026 at 11:59pm ESTThis role is eligible for employee referral bonus. #myReferrals3000#LI-Hybrid #LI-MS1Il s'agit d'un nouveau rôle au sein de notre équipe en plein croissance | This role is a new member of our growing team.
