Reporting to the HSE Manager of Alberta and Saskatchewan, the HSE Administrator will provide day to day administrative support services for the HSE Managers across Western Canada. In this role, you will support the implementation of Black & McDonald's Health and Safety Management System through the tracking of deliverables, as well as supporting the strategic initiatives of the Health & Safety Department. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Day to day administrative support services for the HSE Manager and and the HSE DepartmentConduct New Hire OrientationsMaintain databases, administer sub-contractor programs, provide administrative HSE to support job sitesData entry of New Hire Documentation, including entry of Health and Safety Training RecordsRecording and maintenance of the incident databaseAssist and prepare where required, documentation for pre-qualification submissionsCoordinate Joint Health and Safety Committee functions at office location and actively participate on the CommitteeCoordinate Health and Safety Trainings as requiredProduce regular reports and meeting minutes as requiredOther duties as assigned by your manager COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS Communicates Effectively (verbally and in writing)Continuous Learning (ongoing effort to learn and contribute to the learnings of others)Customer Focus (understands the needs and perspectives of both internal and external customers)Holds Self and Others Accountable (takes personal responsibility to meet commitments)Teamwork and Collaboration (works cooperatively and collaboratively with others)Values and Respects Others (encourages and supports diversity) EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS National Health & Safety Administrator (NHSA), College Diploma in Office Administration or equivalent considered an asset. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS Minimum 3 years of administration experience SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS Competency in HSE Platforms such as E-Compliance and HRIS eg. BambooHRAbility to work independently; proactive, shows initiative to get thing doneAbility to create professional presentations utilizing the data collected through trend analysisStrong verbal and written communication skillsStrong attention to detail in all areas of workExcellent time management skills with the ability to multitask and meet changing prioritiesAdvanced level computer skills including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Visio and AdobePlease note that this position is based in our Calgary NE office (1071 - 26 Street NE) Please be advised that a Criminal Background Check and Professional Reference Check will be required as part of our employment screening and selection process.
