Reports to:    Maintenance Manager, CCC Plastics CCC is seeking an experienced, motivated and safety conscious individual with an Industrial Electrician Certification to join our maintenance team to assist with the installation, maintenance and repair of all equipment associated with the operation of the manufacturing and warehousing facilities. The right candidate will be familiar with electrical systems and controls of single and three-phase power with voltages of 600VAC or less. This position will have a core focus on design, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and continuous improvement of PLC’s, VFD’s, motors, motor controls, instrumentation and communication. In addition, the successful candidate should possess a strong mechanical aptitude, including fluid power (hydraulic, pneumatic), piping, plumbing, pumps, welding, air compressors, and chilled-water systems as they pertain to the electrical system. Tools are provided.  Primary Responsibilities: Maintaining a preventative maintenance program and taking corrective action, where necessary, for the Colborne facility, including upkeep of the property and buildings, in compliance with all corporate procedures and government regulatory guidelines. Providing support for all personnel involved in maintenance and production at the Colborne facility, ensuring high standards of safety, housekeeping, product quality, internal service, efficiency and cost control that are consistent with corporate objectives. Layout, inspection, assembly, installation, troubleshooting, repair (including programming, calibration, preventative/predictive maintenance) of electrical systems, control systems, motors, motor controls, instrumentation, lighting and associated wiring. Monitoring contractors’ work in compliance with health and safety regulations and corporate procedures. Keeping thorough records of all equipment inspections using CMMS software. Requirements: Minimum High School diploma, technical college diploma a definite asset. Certificate of Qualification as an Industrial Electrician 442A or Construction & Maintenance Electrician 309A with 5 or more years of work-related Electrical experience. Strong working knowledge of Ontario Electrical Safety Code, relevant CSA standards, federal and provincial environmental, health and safety legislation. PLC, ladder logic, motor controls circuits, comms protocol, SCADA systems, and Industry 4.0 tools.    Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications and manuals. Strong interpersonal skills and effective time management skills.  This is a replacement position earning $41.98/hr.  CCC is committed to providing accommodations for persons with disabilities.
