About the Role The Department of Innovation and Marketing invites applications for a tenure-track position in Marketing which will commence July 1st, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval, at the rank of Assistant Professor. New faculty are hired into one of two work patterns. The teaching/scholarship/service pattern (TSS) focuses on teaching with the requirement that the faculty member be involved in a research program as well as service to the Mount Royal community. The teaching/service pattern (TS) focuses on teaching and service only. The successful candidate for this role will be hired into the teaching/service pattern (TS).There is an option to change work patterns after tenure. The preferred candidate must have the qualifications and experience described below: A terminal degree in marketing or a closely related field is preferred. A minimum of a Masters degree is required. Progressively senior experience in the field of marketing or related fields is preferred. The successful applicant must demonstrate excellence in teaching. The marketing expertise to teach introductory and senior level courses. The ability to initiate and develop new course material and other curricular content at the undergraduate level. Experience developing courses is preferred. Additional expertise in areas such as the impact of technology, AI and emerging trends in marketing. Capacity to initiate and actively collaborate with colleagues, community and industry partners in work-integrated and experiential learning approaches to teaching at the undergraduate level.
