Description SeniorBusiness Systems Analyst, EnterpriseSolutionsVernon, BCRole DescriptionThe Senior Business Systems Analyst (“Sr. BSA”)is part of the Enterprise Solutions (“ES”) team that is responsible for maintainingthe D365 Finance and Operations – Supply Chain Management. This position is responsible for working with business, technical and vendor stakeholders to ensure system implementations, upgrades, enhancements and changes are well defined and appropriately implemented.Core ResponsibilitiesAnalysis of business requirementsTroubleshoots, analyzes, prioritizesandcoordinates the resolution of problems and issues with mission critical applicationsCoordinates, design and participates in the implementation of changes, enhancements and upgradesLeads the testing and quality assurance activities related to mission critical applicationsPrepares, maintains, and distributes technical and business user documentationSeeks opportunities to automate or streamline application processes where appropriateParticipates in the definition and improvement of application support processes and proceduresProject development and supportRun workshops with your clients, consultants, and client leaders to analyze and design solutions for any application, and handle gaps detected during prototypingTranslates business needs and requirements into coherent functional and technical specificationsDocumentation of processes and technical specificationsParticipate in the definition and improvement of business application support processes and proceduresAssist in the preparation and update of business processesPrepare, maintain, and distribute business application, technical and business user documentationProvide references for users by writing and maintaining user documentation, providing service desk support and training usersPrepare and deliver informative, well-organized presentations and communicationsTrouble shooting and system maintenanceTroubleshoot, analyze, prioritize, and help coordinate the resolution of problems and issues with business applicationsProvide Tier 2 and Tier 3 support for business applications and liaise with the IS Service Desk on incidents or service requestsCoordinate and participate in the implementation of changes, enhancements, and upgrades to business applicationsParticipate in and coordinate all types of testing and quality assurance activities related to business applicationsConfigure and manage business applications per business and technical requirementsEstablish and maintain close working relationships with vendors and service providersWork Experience5-6 years of systems / applications experience in an enterprise environment.Experience learning business processesExperience in implementing Supply Chain Management including Warehouse and Transportation Management - Microsoft D365 Finance and OperationsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsStrong troubleshooting problem solving and analytical skillsKnowledge, Skills and Abilities:Manage vendor contracts and support escalations.Skill in systems testing of specification requirements. Skill in business or technical writing as evidenced by previous work-related experience. Ability in using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems. Ability to effectively participate in multiple major projects or project roles or lead a variety of project team activities/tasks.Ability to perform objective analysis and re-engineering of business processes to maximize quality service and cost-effectiveness. Comprehensive knowledge of automated business applications. Experience in effectively serving on successful information systems project teams.
