The coordinator works collaboratively with Nova Scotia Health staff, stakeholders and affiliate community groups to support managers, staff and volunteers. The coordinator is responsible for coordinating service delivery to enhance the quality of life for patients, residents, clients and staff of Nova Scotia Health across a wide range of programs and services, while responding to the demographic, generational, cultural, health and Zone needs, as well as challenges inherent in volunteerism.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Two (2) year Community College Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experienceMinimum of two (2) years of recent and relevant experience in volunteer engagement is requiredCertified in Volunteer Administration (CVA) preferred with a commitment to obtain within five yearsDemonstrate a high degree of focus, professionalism and confidentialityAbility to conduct interviews with potential volunteersAbility to provide advice, consultation, support, assistance and guidance on a regular basisSupervisory skills and leadership qualitiesCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferred Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursLong Assignment, Full-time, 75 hours bi-weeklyBeginning March 16, 2026, Ending August 16, 2027Dates are approximate and subject to changeCompensation and Benefits$32.60 - $37.90 HourlySuccessful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan.
