Under the general supervision of the Manager of Case Management Services, the Case Manager is responsible for working closely with job seekers to conduct intakes, assess service suitability, develop and implement action plans, and support clients meet their employment and career goals. What you’ll be doing Work as part of a multi-faceted and multi-agency team to deliver a comprehensive employment program designed to meet the individual needs of clients Work with clients to achieve sustainable employment including addressing any client barriers and building on client strengths Keep abreast of labour market trends, employment issues, community resources, job training, and employment opportunities in both the English and Francophone Community Maintain an organized and up-to-date caseload, including managing regular client follow-up Assess client needs and develop an individualized action plan to meet identified employment-related goals Use the Integrated Case Management system (ICM) to report client progress and milestones Administer Client Needs Assessments and Disability Related Employment Needs Assessments Assist Clients to access services such as Short-Term Certificate Training, Essential Skills Training, Occupational Skills Training, Short Duration Training, Self-Employment Orientation, Self-Employment Short-Term Training, Wage Subsidies, Job Creation Programs, Job Search Supports, Job Supports, Disability Supports and any other applicable WorkBC funding they may be eligible for Adhere to onsite Health and Safety Procedures Other duties as assigned What you’ll need: 1-2 years of Case Management and/or employment counselling experience is required Relevant post-secondary degree or diploma or a combination of relevant education and experience is required Career Development Practitioner certification is an asset Familiarity with the Integrated Case Management system (ICM) and WorkBC policies is an asset Excellent verbal and written communication skills Excellent computer skills, including Microsoft Office suite and Zoom Ability to speak a second language is an asset Passion for helping jobseekers achieve their goals A valid criminal record check (including working with vulnerable populations) is required What we offer: We offer our eligible employees the following benefits as part of their total compensation package: Extended medical and dental benefits A defined benefit pension plan Flexible working arrangements for applicable positions Employee Family Assistance Program, a confidential and voluntary support service for employees and their eligible family members Free staff membership to our Health + Fitness Centre, discounts at our YWCA Hotel and priority in YWCA Child Care centres Pay Rate: 35.02 A workplace that prioritizes employee health, safety and wellbeing, including many learning and growth opportunities such as our staff mentorship program and three equity committees who help to support our goals towards achieving meaningful equity and inclusion.
