Case management of STD and LTD claims, assisting clients in resolution of complex cases, absence management, return to work coordination, communication with health care providers. Rehabilitation Specialist, Toronto, ON: Track, analyze and present the quarterly rehabilitation budget expense reports to policy holders. Direct contact/meeting with policyholders, union representatives, plan members, physicians and other health care professionals. Develop, monitor and implement innovative vocational rehabilitation services and goal oriented rehabilitation plans for claimants in receipt of short and long term disability benefits. Coordinate the services of external rehabilitation and medical management providers. Contribute to the overall profitability of Group Disability by facilitating timely return to work for claimants. Conduct ergonomic assessments and provide reports outlining recommendations. Participate in client meetings as part of the team representing Manulife Financial.
