Paediatrician- Locum Opportunity

Position Summary Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital (OSMH) and the Orillia Paediatric Teaching Associates are seeking a Locum General Consultant Pediatrician from December 2025-Septemeber 2026. The successful applicant will join a group of 7 consultant paediatricians and will practice in a variety of settings including outpatient office-based clinics, hospital-based subspecialty clinics and hospital inpatient and emergency coverage. ON-CALL: The pediatrician will be expected to participate in 1 in 8 general paediatric call at OSMH. Remuneration: Alternate Payment Plan Qualifications • FRCSC certification by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in Paediatric Medicine • Licensure or eligibility to practice in the province of Ontario (CPSO)• Membership in the Canadian Medical Protective Association in good standing• Applicant must be eligible for appointment to the Credentialed Staff at Orillia Soldiers’ Memorial Hospital. U.S.-trained doctors holding American Board certification are eligible to gain licensure with CPSO without certification from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RSPSC). Pathway A policy permits eligible specialists to be issued a restricted certificate of registration to practice independently limited to their scope of practice without requiring RCPSC.
