 is seeking an analytical, motivated and solutions focused Coop Student with demonstrated product development experience to join our growing team in Victoria, BC. We are an internationally recognized and growing company that provides specialized test equipment solutions to support medical device innovations in the cardiovascular space.In our small, innovative team you will enjoy the challenge of working on a variety of R&D projects where you will conceptualize, prototype, design, and document products with a user centric approach in mind. Reporting to the Lead Mechanical or Electrical Engineer and working closely with Director of Product Development and the R&D team, you will apply your knowledge of engineering design principles and bring practical solutions to ensure our products are of high quality and reliability to maintain ViVitro’s brand.Do you possess a willingness to learn and the ability to manage concurrent tasks? If you answered “yes” you will thrive in this roleWe are actively looking for the right student to join our team of engineers in Victoria, BC, Canada for the Winter term (January 2026 – April 2026).Salary:Hourly rate for 3rd year student is $24.27 and hourly rate for 4th year student is $25.38. Final rates will be confirmed in October 2025.Key Responsibilities:Work as an integral member of the engineering team to design and build innovative products;Test concept prototypesVerify design and validate product prototypesDocument design to direct manufacturing to build assemblies reliablyAssist in transferring design to manufacturingProvide other technical assistance as neededReport on project progress as requested; and/orAttend training sessions as needed to expand your technical knowledge and skills.Additional Responsibilities my Include:Create electrical system conceptsBuild proof of concept prototypesDesign parts/subsystems/systems according to design control proceduresDocument design according to design/document control proceduresEducation and Experience Required/Desired:Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Biomedical Engineering or Engineering Physics is requiredPrevious COOP experience is desiredPrevious design project experience is desiredAvailability for an additional 4-month work term is desiredSenior students are desiredKnowledge/Skills/Competencies Desired:Willingness to be challenged intellectuallyCapability to learn new thingsTroubleshooting abilitiesExperience in product or prototype performance testingExperience with schematic and PCB designExperience with sensor signal amplification/filteringExperience with analogue and digital circuitryExperience with AltiumExperience with data analysis using PythonExperience with firmware development and programming with C and PythonKnowledge of engineering design processesWriting of technical reportsWriting of technical instructions for test methods and manufacturing guidanceFamiliarity with working in a regulated product development environmentAbout ViVitro Labs:  provides contract testing services and test equipment solutions to support medical device innovations in the cardiovascular space.
