ATCO Frontec is seeking an Indigenous Relations Coordinator to join our team. The Indigenous Relations Coordinator is focused ensuring Frontec meets its reporting requirements, and liaising with communities, when required.Responsibilities:Assist in the day-to-day coordination of the Frontec Indigenous Relations meetings and working with leaders and IR members across the organizationTrack and coordinate incoming sponsorship and event requests, registrations and participation.Organize events including invitations, meeting setup and day-of supportRecord, analyze and input information that relates to the wider-Frontec group to SharePoint siteDevelop and maintain tracking on elements of tracking Key Performance Indicators as well as in all areasMaintain, monitor and submit Frontec’s Indigenous Relations reporting requirements for clients Track attendance of IR team at events, conferences, and training opportunities Handle external and internal inquiries as requiredAttend community events, when requiredSupport long term relationships with Indigenous communitiesTravel may be required in this role. QualificationsDegree or Diploma in Commerce, Business, Marketing, Indigenous Studies, or related field (or equivalent experience).Proven experience working with Indigenous communities and understanding cultural diversity.Strong knowledge of Indigenous history, traditions, and protocols.Familiarity with government programmes and regulatory requirements for Indigenous consultation.Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities.Business acumen.Preference will be given to Indigenous candidates.Must be based in Calgary.Final candidates will be required to undergo a Security Clearance Check.We would like to thank everyone for their application; however, only those being considered for an interview will be contacted.
