Calgary or Fort Saskatchewan office, the Indigenous Relations Student will report to the Manager, Indigenous Relations. The Student will support Inter Pipeline’s Indigenous Relations community engagements and events, and work with IT and Supply Chain on data management and improved data organization.The successful candidate will support the Indigenous Relations team in administrative and event logistics, as well as participate at community events across Alberta and Saskatchewan where Inter Pipeline operates.Key Activities and ResponsibilitiesAssist with administration and logistics for Inter Pipeline’s Indigenous Relations Program including many Indigenous events and meetings, support the Community Investment team with Community Outreach and Employee Volunteering programs where applicable to Indigenous communitiesAssist in managing events and driving Indigenous Relations vehicle to attend 6+ Indigenous events throughout Alberta and SaskatchewanAssist in maintaining and populating the Indigenous events calendarAssist in reviewing Benevity data for Indigenous contributionsMaintain and track program inventory and assist with budget trackingMaintain organization of files on events, including photos of eventsWrite articles and Indigenous Relations updates for internal distributionEducation, Skills and ExperienceStudent enrolled in post-secondary education with preference given to students enrolled in Indigenous Relations, Native Studies, Law, Public Relations, CommunicationsValid driver’s license with clean driver’s abstractIntermediate Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook)Able to lift and perform manual labourHoursMay 4, 2026 – August 28, 2026, fulltimeAs this position is identified as safety and security sensitive, employment of a final candidate will be conditional upon completion of pre-employment medical, drug/alcohol, drivers abstract, employment verification and criminal background check assessments with satisfactory results.This position has been identified as requiring the candidate to be Indigenous (First Nation, Inuit or Metis).
