Unspecified We are currently looking for a Senior Subcontracts Specialist to join our team in Waterloo, Ontario. Reporting to the Operations Manager, this role will be responsible to manage routine and non-routine agreements of moderate value and complexity. Reporting to management on all supplier strategic and contractual aspects of various programs. They will be required to identify and mitigate risk issues, including the development of risk mitigation strategies, for management consideration. There may also be a requirement to negotiate legal requirements in agreements to the benefit of the company and customer.ResponsibilitiesOwn the contract and the contractor relationships from initiation through execution in operations, up to and including the closure of all agreements. Required to participate in new business, negotiation, Global Trade compliance, administration and customer/suppliers contract activities to provide for proper acquisition and fulfillment in accordance with company policies, legal requirements, and customer/supplier specifications.Collaborate with the Business Areas to understand their requirements and develop commercially competitive contracting and procurement strategies for goods and services.Work with program management and engineering to review and approve Statements of Work (SOW) to ensure contractual terms and conditions within SOW are identified and dispositioned appropriately.Work with and analyze key suppliers/contractors required to support new and existing business. Prepare documentation to support analysis. Identify and manage risks and opportunities, working collaboratively with customers, contractors and other project team members. Manage administration of complex due diligence activities.Prepare or review reporting activities required to demonstrate compliance with corporate and divisional policies, goals, and objectives.Ensure suppliers are in compliance with the Controlled Goods, and FCPA and have signed Proprietary Information Agreements or other compliance documents as required.Ensure prompt and professional delivery of post-award contract administration/contractual change management functions, ensuring compliance with negotiation parameters, legal and customer contractual requirements, and company policies.Analyze, evaluate and recommend proposals by understanding and negotiating contract pricing rates, cost structure estimates of material, equipment services, production cost, performance requirements and delivery schedules to ensure accuracy and completeness.Support and educate internal stakeholders on various aspects of contracting processes, the role of other functions in contract creation and lifecycle.Provide signing authority for contracts up to the designated signing authority, if so authorized.RequirementsBachelor’s Degree or equivalent in previous training and work experience.Minimum 8 years work experience in a subcontracts role.Experience negotiating and amending multiple types of non-standard agreements including the flow down/flow up of requirements/issues.Good working knowledge of import/export legislation.Experience working with international suppliers or customers is an asset.Ability and desire to learn new concepts as well as adapt to new and challenging situations.General knowledge of business law and legal ramifications with respect to contracts and proposals.Raytheon Canada Limited offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefits package.This position is required to work onsite at our facility in Waterloo, Ontario.The successful candidate will be required to complete a criminal background check and obtain/maintain a Government of Canada security clearance and any applicable clearances with respect to the handling and transfer of controlled goods.
