Job Description The Senior Analyst, Finance (“SFA”) will be part of BN’s Global Finance team and will report into the Director, Finance. Located in our head office in Downtown Toronto, the SFA role is a highly visible position that provides a solid foundation and exposure to a progressive and dynamic career with a leading global investment firm. The SFA will actively participate in the financial reporting of BN and will support compliance and investor relations. There is also opportunity to provide leadership and mentorship to co-op students and new hires.Responsibilities:Work closely with global business units to prepare consolidated financial statements and public documents on a quarterly and annual basis, including the Supplemental and MD&AActively participate and lead the resolution of complex technical accounting issues and the execution of regulatory updates, including the coordination with auditors and operating business groupsPresent various analyses and reports for senior management, such as operating metrics and corporate financial results to support their business decision-makingProduce financial reporting deliverables provided to the Board and senior managementSupport internal and external audit teams in relation to quarterly reviews, the annual audit and SOX complianceAssist in preparing consolidated financial forecasts, tracking global operating results of subsidiaries and articulating these results to key stakeholdersCollaborate regularly with operating business groups and various Brookfield departmentsMentor junior staff to aid in their developmentContinuously look for efficiency in our processes, tools and reports and make suggestions to implement these into our frameworkAssist as needed with due diligence related to refinancing, ad-hoc analyses and presentations on financial and operating results, investor queries and special projectsQualifications & Requirements:Three to five (3-5) years of progressive work experience in an accounting or auditing functionA recognized professional accounting designation (CPA, CA)Strong financial systems experience, including advanced Excel skillsLeadership and interpersonal skills, and the willingness to always support the teamHighly organized and able to work in a dynamic, complex and fast-paced environment, as well as adapt quickly to manage changing priorities and deadlinesExcellent verbal and written communication skillsSelf-motivated and pro-active, with respect to both managing workload and professional developmentKnowledge of HFM, OneStream and Workiva would be an asset
