Remain current with the Cat machine product line through both self-development and formal training as required in order to stay up to date with ever-changing technology. Communicate on an ongoing basis with the other Service Training Instructors, the Apprenticeship Training Coordinator, Shop Supervisors, PSM’s, sales personnel and customers to identify training requirements and develop/maintain course schedules. Schedule, utilize and maintain the training department resources. Preparing evaluations and reports and provide feedback to service leadership on technician development. Perform other duties as delegated by the Service Training Supervisor. Must-haves for this role: College diploma in Heavy Equipment, Truck and Coach or equivalent training and experience Red Seal designation in Heavy Equipment or Truck and Coach or Equivalent A minimum of 5 years’ experience diagnosing, troubleshooting and repairing Caterpillar equipment, preferably with experience as lead hand, field service technician or other higher profile position. Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills. Comprehensive computer skills including Microsoft Office applications and Caterpillar Service Software.
