What will be your daily pursuit? Housekeeping Supervisors hold the key to creating a restful and relaxing stay for our guests. What will you do in this job? Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of the respective hotel departmentAssist the Executive Housekeeper with their dutiesTrain housekeeping staffCheck rooms to ensure cleaning and maintenance standards are observed (approx. 40 per shift)Handle guest concerns and/or complaints, and refer to Manager when neededCommunicate room status with Front DeskMonitor work ethic and wellbeing of staffEnsure all public areas are cleaned and maintained through inspections approx. 3 times per dayEnsure ADP timecards are up to date and correct for housekeeping staffMonitoring staff performance through data entry in spreadsheetsPerformance management of housekeeping team members including documenting of performance issuesReport staff wellbeing and performance issues to Management in a timely mannerUse of technology operating systems to communicate with other departments as requiredOther duties as assigned What skills and experience do you need for this job? Minimum 2-year housekeeping experienceValid Class 5 Alberta Driver's License Previous leadership experience is an assetMust have strong English communication skillsAbility to train and give directionNeat in appearanceGood interpersonal skills and attention to detailAbility to accept directionAble to work with minimal supervision What will your work environment be like?
