Students hired into this co-op role in the Unified Securitiy Solutions department will be given the opportunity to learn about Hydro One's leading edge unified physical security systems used to secure Hydro One’s personnel, property, assets and infrastructure. Students will learn operational and business writing, advanced data analytics and problem solving skills, project coordination, commissioning, maintenance and ongoing assessment of physical security programs and technologies. In addition there will be opportunities to develop strong working relations with external physical security vendors and internal Hydro One lines of business. Your job duties may include:Perform data analysis, trending, optimization and analytics to help solve complex problems. Assist with process and program optimization tasks and strategies.Assist in the development of physical security asset management tracking.Assist with physical security system testing and commissioning, along with completion of commissioning documentation. Supports the physical security service and maintenance program, which may include coordination with external vendors and internal lines of business. Assist with physical security project tracking, coordination and implementations.Collect and produce security metrics to be used for internal corporate reporting and contract managementActively participate in team meetings.Assist with administrative duties to support physical security team.Other duties as assigned. This job will provide you with the following professional development:Exposure to cutting edge physical security applications and devices.Creative technical problem-solving opportunities.Advanced data anlytics tools. Physical security industry knowledge. Experience working with external vendors and different internal lines of business.Business and communication skills, including report writing, presentations and data analysis.Compliance and Cyber Security knowledgeRisk Assessment knowledge Job Requirements:Disciplines: IT, Technology, Engineering, Business Administration.Academic Level: Completed 2 years of universityHave excellent investigative, analytical and problem-solving skills.
