Students hired into this co-op role in the Unified Securitiy Solutions department will be given the opportunity to learn about Hydro One's leading edge unified physical security systems used to secure Hydro One’s personnel, property, assets and infrastructure. Students will learn operational and business writing, advanced data analytics and problem solving skills, project coordination, commissioning, maintenance and ongoing assessment of physical security programs and technologies. In addition there will be opportunities to develop strong working relations with external physical security vendors and internal Hydro One lines of business. Your job duties may include: Perform data analysis, trending, optimization and analytics to help solve complex problems. Assist with process and program optimization tasks and strategies.Assist in the development of physical security asset management tracking.Assist with physical security system testing and commissioning, along with completion of commissioning documentation. Supports the physical security service and maintenance program, which may include coordination with external vendors and internal lines of business. Assist with physical security project tracking, coordination and implementations.Collect and produce security metrics to be used for internal corporate reporting and contract managementActively participate in team meetings.Assist with administrative duties to support physical security team.Other duties as assigned. Possess excellent organizational and time-management skillsAble to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment and in cross-functional teams.Proficient with Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Access, Visio, Teams)Have a basic understanding of IP networks and hardware.A basic understanding of low voltage systems is preferred.
