Role SummaryWe currently have Project Coordinator co‑op opportunities for talented and technically inclined students who enjoy a wide variety of tasks, learn quickly, and want to contribute to a successful and growing company. These roles offer hands‑on experience, creative challenges, and opportunities to develop new skills. This is a 12-16 month co-op term starting in May 2026, working out of our Southwest Ontario region office and/or site locations. Why This Role Matters to Modern Niagara This co‑op role provides students with meaningful exposure to real project operations and the chance to work closely with experienced industry professionals. It allows students to see firsthand how project teams coordinate work, maintain schedules, solve challenges, and bring buildings to life. Co‑op students play an important role in supporting successful project delivery while building valuable technical and professional skills that cannot be gained in a classroom. This experience helps develop the next generation of project leaders for Modern Niagara and the construction industry. Key Impact / Purpose Gain hands‑on experience in real construction project delivery Strengthen communication and collaboration across project teams Build foundational project management and coordination skills Contribute directly to active project teams and field operations Duties and Responsibilities: Work with Project Managers to gather information and support reporting Assist with site contract document control Coordinate with general contractors on project priorities and activities Support and participate in meetings with subcontractors and clients Assist in managing and monitoring construction schedules Relay information between office personnel and field staff Support Project Managers, Coordinators, and Forepersons on additional project tasks as needed Must Haves: Working toward a university degree or college diploma in Mechanical, Civil, or Electrical Engineering (or related education) Strong organizational skills and attention to detail Strong computer skills, including MS Office (Excel and Word) Team‑oriented, energetic, resourceful, reliable, and punctual Eager to work and learn in a fast‑paced construction environment Comfortable working both on‑site and in an office setting Eligible for reliability security clearance. Nice to Haves: Previous co‑op, internship, or project experience Experience in the construction industry (asset but not required) Basic understanding of plumbing or HVAC systems (asset but not required) Working at Heights Certificate (training can be provided) Expected hourly compensation; $21 - $25.
