Senior Financial Analyst

The Senior Financial Analyst is the Finance Business Partner supporting both PMO & Product and is responsible for the budgeting, forecasting and analyzing of data to support the IS forecasting and budgeting process. Overall responsibilities include financial reporting, KPI reporting, preparation of all financial data for the Executive Steering Committee packages, reporting on project expenditures, increasing forecasting accuracy and analyzing trends. Creation of reporting tools to assist in ongoing analysis and dissemination of information will be required. This role will work closely with IS and acts as a liaison between IS and Finance.Key Responsibilities:Generate monthly financial analysis, KPI, Project Steering Committee packages, scorecard and reports on project expendituresPrepare budget, forecast and long-term projections to ensure the organization meets its financial targetsSupports the Director PMO to build the annual program budget for submission to FinanceResponsible for the accuracy of actuals used by Project Managers and Director PMO. Responsibilities including having a continuous improvement methodology that incorporates comments and feedback from Project Managers and other stakeholdersDevelop and maintain moderately-complex modeling and data analysis for corporate and departmental use. Responsibilities include; testing, validation of data assumptions & approach and pricing to customersConduct financial analysis, trend analysis, gathering & maintaining of data for dissemination to the PMs and as required, to support SLT/ELT insights and decision makingSupports PM’s & Resource Managers with forecasting and facilitates alignment meetings ensuring accuracy in the forecastSupports Delivery Managers, Resource Managers & Executive sponsors in creating required financial analysis submitted with Change RequestsCollect feedback from the users of the Forecasting & Change Request processes and identify the need to modify based on the feedback.Verifies capture of acceptance/signoff on Change Requests.Supports stakeholders and performs “what if” analysis where multiple options exist for projects & portfoliosQualifications:College Diploma or Undergrad Degree in in Finance or Accounting5 years of Financial Analyst experience, with solid technical and analytical skillsComputer or Other Skills:Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc)SharePointWebexKnowledge, Skills & Abilities:Understanding of capital expenditure principles (CAPEX / OPEX)Demonstrated initiative with commitment and ability to work under tight deadlines – takes ownershipAble to work in a fast paced, rapidly changing environmentSuperior communication skillsExcellent interpersonal skillsFlexible and adaptable to handle diverse responsibilitiesAble to work independently and within a teamWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Word, Excel, Outlook)Auditing, proofreading, focused listening, extended period of monitoring a visual displayKnowledge of Healthcare industry is preferredExperience in an IS environment is preferredNOTE: Internal posting will be closed on June 10, 2024.Express Scripts Canada is a Cigna company Express Scripts Canada is a subsidiary of Express Scripts, a Cigna company.
