Your client-base will consist of children (age 2-18) with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)    Work setting : community-based  Work schedule:  25 hours per week  Monday, Tuesday, and Friday at 11am - 7pm Salary : $80-102,000/yr (amount to be pro-rated based on work hours) Take an inside look at what you will do each day:  Assess client needs and family priorities as part of an interdisciplinary team  Complete assessments using tools such as standardized tests, criterion or curriculum referenced materials, or checklists  Develop and implement a treatment plan for each client, based on assessment results  Develop reports as required  Consult to Behaviour Analysts who supervise Applied Behaviour Analysis Programs for Children with ASD and other needs  Work collaboratively with the family and other community professionals  Maintain knowledge in current evidence-based practices  Collect data and make evidenced-based decisions in treatment  Supervise students pursuing education in Occupational Therapy  Represent OT department in Monarch House by contributing to clinical policies and procedures and other centre-wide visions  Here is what you will need to be successful:  At least 1 years’ experience working with children with ASD Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapist (OT) Experience and familiarity with assessment tools (standardized tests, etc.) Knowledge of current research and literature in the Occupational Therapist (OT) field Member of ACOT & CAOT Strong interpersonal and communication skills Possess a valid driver's license and reliable vehicle  Flexibility in scheduling clients What can Monarch House offer you We are proud of our friendly environment, supportive leadership and the knowledgeable team members who make it all possible.
