Located in the heart of Victoria BC, the Strathcona Hotel is a stunning Victorian landmark that dates back to the historic gold rush area of the region. The Strathcona hotel is family owned and operated and has a long history of being "Victoria's Entertainment Center".        OUR VENUESThe Sticky Wicket Pub and RestaurantThe Maple RoomThe Rooftop PatioDistriktThe Clubhouse BarBig Bad JohnsThe Games RoomThe Strath Ale, Wine and Spirit MerchantsThe Strathcona Hotel, located in the heart of Vibrant Victoria is looking to hire a reliable, responsible, and energetic individual to join our front desk team.Our ideal candidate is friendly, dependable, organized and has a passion for creating pleasant and positive experiences with our guests, patrons, and suppliers.Part time or Full timeDuties and Responsibilities:Greeting Guests, and successfully completing the check in and checkout processes in a timely and pleasant manner.Creating and managing reservations for the hotel utilizing online sources, third party bookings, telephone inquiries, walk in guests, and internal bookings.Maximizing revenue by adhering to the policies and procedures of the Strathcona Hotel with regard to external/internal revenue sources such as hotel reservations, guest room upgrades, parking charges, gift card transactions/sales and special event ticket sales.Assisting Guests with information on local attractions, transportation, sightseeing tours, and informing them of Hotel amenities, venues, and/or events.Resolving Guest concerns to ensure they have the best experience possible.Answering the switchboard and dispatching calls to the appropriate departments, venues, and/or responding to guest and patron inquiries.Assisting the FOH with key sign in/out, cash reconciliations, and cash drops.Operating digital radios to communicate with various departments, and team members throughout the property.We Offer:Competitive wages50% off meals while working or when visiting as a guestHealth and dental benefitsOpportunity to attend free shows and eventsFun work environment with opportunities for development and career advancementApply today to learn more about this exciting opportunity
