This role is field-based and reports directly to the Oncology Commercial Lead. The ideal candidate must reside within the territory (British Columbia, Alberta, Saskatchewan, or Manitoba) to ensure effective local engagement and coverage, with Calgary or Vancouver residency preferred for optimal territory coverage.As a Therapeutic Specialist, Oncology, you will be responsible for executing strategic business plans that drive customer engagement and maximize the value of GSK’s hematology oncology portfolio. You will lead business development initiatives, foster meaningful customer relationships, and collaborate cross-functionally to ensure the successful implementation of marketing strategies. Your ability to navigate access barriers, demonstrate business acumen, communicate effectively, and work autonomously will be critical to success. You will work closely with cross-functional partners — including Medical Science Liaisons, Medical Education Managers, colleagues from other sales teams, the Marketing team, and other internal stakeholders — to support GSK’s mission of helping patients live longer, healthier lives.*** INTERNAL CANDIDATES: Please submit your application by Wednesday, December 10th, 2025 *** Details (Your Responsibilities) Developing and implementing strategic business plans tailored to your hematology oncology territory, setting and achieving both short- and long-term goalsBuilding strong, trust-based relationships with healthcare professionals, hospital decision-makers, and allied healthcare stakeholders to optimize patient outcomesDesigning and driving unique, customer-focused initiatives to build GSK advocacy and accelerate portfolio growthEngaging in meaningful scientific discussions with healthcare professionals to ensure optimal use of hematology oncology medicinesMonitoring and analyzing competitor products, strategies, and the overall landscape to inform your territory approachCollaborating with cross-functional colleagues (MSLs, GTR, GAMA reps) to develop and execute programs that improve patient care and align with brand strategiesNavigating access challenges effectively and leveraging business acumen to identify and capitalize on growth opportunitiesPreparing and managing territory budgets with accountability for resource allocationConducting impactful daily customer calls to drive measurable contributions to patient access and market growthExecuting field programs such as Lunch & Learns, scientific engagements, and other educational initiativesEnsuring all activities align with internal compliance and regulatory standards while consistently acting with integrityManaging complex multi-stakeholder oncology environments, balancing immediate patient needs with long-term growth objectivesBasic Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, marketing, or related field Minimum 5 years of recent experience in hematology oncology or proven success launching products in competitive marketsStrong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsSelf-starter with the ability to work autonomously and drive business growthAbility to travel extensively within a large geography while minimizing windshield timeValid driver’s license and clean driving record (required for company vehicle eligibility)Exposure to cross-functional collaboration with medical, marketing, or government affairs teamsStrong relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals and hospital stakeholdersExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Preferred Qualifications: Experience working with key academic centers in hematology oncologyDemonstrated leadership and team collaboration skillsStrong working knowledge of scientific research study interpretationProven ability to build and maintain access to a network of physicians and healthcare stakeholders***This position requires the employee to drive routinely on company business and allows for the provision of a company-leased vehicle.
