1. Role Overview Mercor is seeking bilingual English–Chinese language professionals to support a translation quality review initiative with a leading AI research partner. Experts will evaluate AI-generated Chinese content, ensuring it reflects fluent, accurate, and culturally relevant language as commonly used in mainland China. This short-term, flexible project offers a chance to shape the linguistic quality of advanced AI systems. 2. Key Responsibilities Review and evaluate Chinese translations for fluency, clarity, and accuracy Identify mistranslations, unnatural phrasing, or tone inconsistencies Suggest improvements to ensure natural, idiomatic usage in mainland China Provide structured feedback on linguistic quality and cultural appropriateness Maintain high reading speed and attention to detail across varied content types 3. Ideal Qualifications Native or near-native fluency in both Chinese (Simplified) and English Deep familiarity with contemporary language usage in China 1+ year of experience in translation, localization, or language QA Excellent reading comprehension and written communication skills Strong attention to linguistic detail and cultural nuance 4. More About the Opportunity Remote and asynchronous — flexible scheduling Expected commitment: 10+ hours/week Project duration: 1+ months, with potential for additional work 5.
