About the Role The Department of Marketing and Innovation invites applications for a tenure-track position which will commence July 1st, 2026, subject to final budgetary approval, at the Rank of Assistant Professor. New faculty are hired into one of two work patterns. The teaching/scholarship/service pattern (TSS) focuses on teaching with the requirement that the faculty member be involved in a research program as well as service to the Mount Royal community. The teaching/service pattern (TS) focuses on teaching and service only. The successful candidate for this role will be hired into the teaching/scholarship/service pattern (TSS). There is an option to change work patterns after tenure. The successful applicant must be qualified to teach introductory and senior courses in innovation, entrepreneurship and/or social innovation, and be prepared to be involved in course and program development. A PhD in business, innovation, entrepreneurship or related field is required. The committee considers applicants who will complete their degree, i.e. defending their thesis successfully, before July 1st 2026. Applicants should demonstrate the ability and intent to pursue a research program in the fields of innovation, social innovation and/or entrepreneurship. Professional work experience in the field of innovation, social innovation and entrepreneurship is desirable.
