Voted one of Scarborough's favorite shopping mall's, it aims to provide visitors with the best possible shopping, dining and entertainment experience.Position: Security Guard Site: Bridlewood Mall - 2900 Warden Ave., Scarborough, ON M1W 2S8Key responsibilities:Maintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a reasonable mannerAble to use tact and diplomacy in dealings across a range of settings and situationsRespond to medical emergencies and provide first aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arriveAbility to maintain and enforce access control proceduresSolid understanding of emergency and standard operating proceduresDeal with trespassers and unauthorized persons found on the property, in a fair and safe manner, by enforcing the Trespass to Property ActAssist with Fire & Life Safety inspectionsMaintain a detailed memo book and prepare incident reports on all matters dealt with using the standard report-writing programConduct periodic patrols of property either by foot or by vehicle. Investigate incidents and occurrencesDraft detailed incident and occurrence reportsMaintain the peace, safety, and security of all patrons, and clients on the property Monitor CCTV surveillance systems De-escalate emergency/crisis situationsAssist emergency and law enforcement personnel Access control, line management, customer serviceAssist with daily operations as needed/required or directed. Other duties as outlined by management Prerequisites: Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)English (oral and written) fluency is a mustMust be willing and able to stand, walk, and patrol by foot and vehicle for extended periods (8-12 hours) Must demonstrate a high degree of professionalismMust have at least 1 year of prior security experienceMust be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB training program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB training is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityAuthorized to legally work in CanadaWhy choose Paladin?Opportunities for training and professional development.Competitive salary and benefits package.Free UniformsSecurity license reimbursementDry cleaning & hemming/tailoring allowancePaid vacation & sick daysAdditional perks
