Department: FinanceLocation: Beachville, ON or Dundas, ONSalary: $90,950 - $117,135Benefits: Comprehensive benefits package that includes Health, Dental, Vision, and a full pension plan.Vacancy Status Disclosure: Replacement for existing vacancy.AI Statement: Carmeuse does not use artificial intelligence (AI) to screen, assess, or select applicants.Responsibilities:Month-end close functionsFixed asset reviewsCapital project closingCycle count proceduresSpare parts inventoriesMonthly and periodic stockpile surveysSlow moving inventory quarterly adjustmentBudget and 7+5 forecast support and preparationBulk material purchase price variance analysis (periodic)Periodic tax reporting as neededPeriodic tax department requestsWeekly forecasts – Comparison of budget vs actualReconcile finished goods inventory Bi-annual lease review analysis – property reviewBusiness insurance requestsDaily spending activity reviewAd-hoc requests from Operations & Regional ControllerGovernment ad-hoc reportingExternal audit supportBuilding Standard cost models annuallyPreparing monthly financial presentationsAll other duties as assignedBasic Requirements:Level of Experience: 0-5 years & upFluent speaking and writing EnglishBachelor’s in accounting, Finance and/or Other Business-Related Degree/ DiplomaProfessional designation or working towards a professional designation preferred but not requiredKnowledge and Skills:High attention to detail Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures and governmental regulationsAbility to write reports and business correspondenceAbility to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, employees, clients, customers and the general publicEffective verbal and written communication skills enabling the individual to work effectively with various levels of organizational management, across functional areas in both the corporate office and operating locationsDemonstrate proficiency with computer operation and software systems including but not limited to Microsoft Office.
