- The Maintenance Technician performs a variety of maintenance services including providing general preventative maintenance on a variety of equipment along with production coverage and must be able to work efficiently in resolving urgent issues.

Principal Accountabilities:

- Perform routine PM’s and equipment inspections
- Familiar with Pneumatics, Hydraulics and Electrical systems
- Perform minor and major repair of all CNC Machines equipment
- Complete daily, weekly and monthly checklists on building equipment
- Perform preventive maintenance procedures on all plant equipment on a scheduled basis; inspects belts, checks fluid levels, replaces filters, greases bearings, seals, etc.; repairs or replaces broken parts
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests as required
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

Health and Safety Responsibilities:

- All required PPE while in plant.
- Work safe & ergonomically by following JH&S policies.
- Report any unsafe acts, conditions or accidents across the plant.
- Report accidents, near misses, injuries, or illnesses immediately to your supervisor.
- Inspect equipment and the workplace regularly.
- Be alert for hazards.

Knowledge, Skills and Education:

- Valid trade license or equivalent work experience in related field required.
- Must have general knowledge of all related maintenance functions.
- Minimum of 3-5 years machine maintenance experience in a manufacturing plant required.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems and controls.
- Must be self-motivated with strong command of verbal and written skills.
- Eager to learn and to train others.
- Design, fabrication and commissioning of automated equipment.
- Understanding of lean manufacturing, an asset.
- Proactive problem solving approach focused on action.
- Ability to organize and prioritize.
- Ability to work under pressure and in a fast paced environment.
- Excellent attention to detail.
