About the Role As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to seniors in our residential community. Your main responsibility will be assisting residents with daily activities, including personal care, grooming, and mealtimes, while promoting a safe and supportive environment. You will follow personalized care plans designed to meet the unique needs of each resident, ensuring that they receive the highest standard of care. Beyond providing physical assistance, you will engage with residents, fostering meaningful connections and contributing to their emotional and social well-being. Working collaboratively with a dedicated care team, you will also ensure that residents feel respected and valued. By maintaining accurate records and communicating regularly with nursing staff, you help ensure that each resident’s care plan is followed and continuously improved. Hallmark on the Park, our three-story assisted living care community is nestled in an idyllic lake and park setting within Abbotsford. Responsibilities: Provide personal care to residents, including assistance with bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting. Support residents with mobility, positioning, and safe transferring techniques. Assist with meal service and monitor resident nutrition and hydration. Observe and report changes in resident health and behavior to the nursing team. Maintain accurate documentation and participate in care planning. Promote social interaction and contribute to a positive community atmosphere. Ensure a safe, clean, and respectful environment for residents and team members. Requirements Graduation from a recognized Resident Care Assistant Program Current registration and in good standing with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry First Aid Level 1 (required for external hires) High school diploma Current Food Safe certificate Current WHMIS certification About You As a Resident Care Aide, you will play a vital role in delivering compassionate care to seniors in our residential community. Compensation and Benefits You will be welcomed in a warm and supportive work environment, with an hourly wage range between $27.92 - $29.60.
