Job Skills / Requirements Wage: $21.00/hourShift Timings:• 07:00 – 14:30• 14:30 – 23:00Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain compliance with and enforce property standards, rules, and regulations in a professional and reasonable mannerUtilize tact, diplomacy, and sound judgment while on dutyRespond to medical emergencies and provide First Aid, CPR, or AED support until medical professionals arriveMaintain and enforce access control proceduresDemonstrate a solid understanding of emergency response and standard operating proceduresAddress trespassers and unauthorized persons in a fair, calm, and safe mannerConduct regular patrols of the property on footMonitor CCTV surveillance systemsInvestigate incidents, occurrences, and suspicious activitiesPrepare detailed incident and occurrence reports and maintain accurate memo book entriesMaintain the safety, security, and peace of patrons, staff, and clientsDe-escalate conflict, emergency, and crisis situationsAssist emergency responders and law enforcement personnel as requiredPerform access control, line management, and customer service dutiesSupport daily security and site operations as directedQualifications & SkillsMinimum 6 months of prior security experience requiredExperience in Retail Security or Loss Prevention is considered a strong assetMust be able to stand, walk, and patrol for extended periods (8–12 hours)Strong verbal and written communication skillsFluent in English (spoken and written)Demonstrates a high level of professionalism and reliabilityProactive approach to on-site situations and potential risksAbility to retain and follow instructions provided by managementCapable of handling high-stress situations and making sound decisions under pressureComfortable working in a fast-paced, busy, and highly populated retail environmentHigh attention to detail and strong observational skillsStrong interpersonal skills, emotional intelligence, and ability to work effectively within a teamWillingness to accept constructive feedbackFirst Aid Level 1 is an asset but not mandatory#JoinGuardteck Certification Requirements (All) British Columbia Security License
