Work schedule to be discussed with the hiring Manager according to the guidelines defined by the department.Job summaryIn this role, you will be a key member of the Business & Rights team for CBC/Radio-Canada French Services. This team handles all operations related to contractual agreements covering acquisitions and independent productions as well as supporting the in-house production of content delivered across all Radio-Canada platforms.Reporting to the Director of Operations Support and In-House Production, you will lead the Contract Administration team and oversee critical data processing for the department. You will manage a team of administrative officers, ensuring workflow efficiency for rights management, financial commitments (for acquisitions and independent productions) and payments associated with these agreements.Key Responsibilities:Administrative Leadership and Data IntegrityDevelop, document and maintain standardized operating procedures for the team.Ensure the accuracy and compliance of data entered into internal systems (diversity tracking, CRTC requirements, etc.) to ensure reliable reporting.Maintain consistency in file processing and resolve system-related issues.Operations and Financial OversightWith the Director of Independent Production, update flex amounts and commitments with the Canada Media Fund (CMF), ensuring all obligations are met.Approve and sign contractual and supporting documents (contract summaries, CMF forms, and payment instructions).Manage team priorities to meet filing deadlines, service standards and departmental requirements.Support the integration of new high-profile projects and spearhead transformation or continuous improvement initiatives in conjunction with your operations support colleagues.Tools, Templates and ComplianceOversee the maintenance of template documents (contracts, correspondence, etc.) and the standards guide for independent producers.Lead the team in the rigorous tracking of mandatory deliverables required for reporting (E&O insurance, diversity reports, sustainability initiatives, etc.).Leadership and Team ManagementLead and coach a team of nine administrative officers and one team lead.Cultivate a structure that encourages versatility and develop training and succession plans.Empower your team with the knowledge needed to excel in their roles.Manage workloads and establish clear service standards to ensure all operational deadlines are met.Resolve complex business process or system issues.Ensure consistency in file handling within systems and resolve complex issues, collaborating as needed with the Manager of Operations and Business Intelligence (or their delegate) when system changes are required.What you bring?University or college degree/diploma.Good knowledge of the French-language Canadian broadcasting environment.Proven track record in team leadership.Ability to assess situations, use independent judgement and be a self-starter.Innovative and resourceful approach to resolving operational issues and making recommendations.Inspiring leadership style with experience in change management.Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on collaboration.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate complex technical information into clear, actionable insights.Proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.Nice-to-haves: Proficiency in Google Workspace and knowledge of contract/rights or broadcast management systems.Proficiency in English an asset.Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing.Candidates may be subject to skills and knowledge testing. We thank all applicants for their interest, but only candidates selected for an interview will be contacted.As part of our recruitment process, candidates who advance to the nextstep will be asked to complete a background check.
