Job DescriptionAs a Pre-Assembly Operator at Doka Canada, you are responsible for the accurate and efficient assembly of custom formwork components according to specifications. Your role ensures that safety and quality standards are upheld within the yard or warehouse.Main Responsibilities:Assemble custom formwork: Build custom formwork to exact specifications as per blueprints using various materials.Operate and maintain tools: Safely operate and maintain a variety of power and hand tools (circular saws, drills, measuring tapes, planers, flush cutters, impact wrenches, etc.).Maintain work area: Assist in maintaining an organized, clean, and logical yard and work area.Team collaboration: Work productively as a member of the team.Tool and equipment safety: Take responsibility for the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all tools and equipment.Equipment placement: Ensure equipment is properly placed and returned to its designated storage location.Inventory management: Inform your supervisor of the status of consumables necessary to perform the job to ensure that you do not run out.Quality and safety standards: Comply with Doka Standards regarding bundling and stacking requirements, including quality, safety, accuracy, productivity, etc.Order accuracy: Count orders/returns accurately and perform similar functions during inventory counts.Safety compliance: Consistently use approved safety equipment and obtain continual training on product knowledge, asking questions to ensure understanding.Product labeling: Accurately mark containers and shelves to ensure proper product information.Physical tasks: Safely perform pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks upwards of 100lbs or more only with the proper use of the appropriate equipment provided (i.e., forklift, crane).Other Responsibilities:Maintain Yard and Work Area: Assist in keeping the yard and work area organized, clean, and logical.Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Take responsibility for the proper use, maintenance, and safety of all tools and equipment.Equipment Placement: Ensure equipment is properly placed and returned to its designated storage location.Consumable Management: Inform the supervisor about the status of consumables necessary for the job to ensure that supplies do not run out.Compliance with Doka Standards: Comply with Doka Standards regarding bundling and stacking requirements, including quality, safety, accuracy, productivity, etc.Inventory Counts: Accurately count orders/returns and perform similar functions during inventory counts.Safety Equipment: Consistently use approved safety equipment.Continual Training: Obtain continual training on product knowledge and ask questions to ensure understanding.Logistics Management: Manage the logistics of all material (location, flow of goods) to ensure proper storage and avoid congestion.Disposal of Damaged Material: Confirm proper disposal of all damaged/scrap material in accordance with company policies and procedures.Proper Marking: Accurately mark containers and shelves to ensure proper product information.Cleanliness Standards: Comply with company cleanliness and housekeeping standards.Physical Tasks: Safely perform pushing, pulling, and lifting tasks upwards of 100lbs or more only with the proper use of the appropriate equipment provided (i.e., forklift, crane).Rental Returns:Truck Reception: Receive trucks and take pictures of loaded materials.Material Handling: Unload materials to specific workstations.Material Counting and Handling: Count and handle formwork material, including cleaning and bending small defects.Packaging and Storage: Pack items in standard packaging and store them in the yard.Use of Doka Apps: Use Doka Apps or software to process returns.Shipping:Material Preparation: Count and prepare formwork materials to match quantities required by the client.Documentation: Take pictures of materials loaded on the truck.Material Relocation: Relocate bins and/or materials to the initial location in the yard.Packaging and Storage: Pack items in standard packaging and store them in the yard.Report Generation: Use Doka Apps or software to generate reports or delivery notes.QualificationsEducation & ExperienceMinimum high school graduate/diploma.Previous experience in construction or as an assembler.Knowledge of tools and safe working practices of tools.Above-average communication skills, including a first-rate command of English (speaking, reading, writing) to comply with safety standards on the job.Qualitative abilities including strong analytical skills, technical proficiency, and effective problem-solving skills.Willing and able to learn new products, concepts, and techniques.Able to work independently in a results-driven, fast-paced environment.Additional InformationCharacteristics to be successful:                                                             Passionate to Win: You are committed to achieving your goals and contributing to the success of the company.
