Working collaboratively with their team, the Rehabilitation Assistant is responsible for the safe and proficient delivery of interventions that have been assigned by the therapists for patients coping with limitations in movement and daily function. The Rehabilitation Assistant also checks and cleans equipment, maintains treatment and storage areas and may order necessary supplies. The successful applicant may be required to provide services anywhere within the Rehabilitation Services portfolio.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you have the following:Grade 12 or GED Rehabilitation Assistant Program (which includes both Occupational Therapy and Physiotherapy components)Basic Cardiac Life SupportAbility to communicate well with both patients and their families and staffGood interpersonal skills and be able to work collaboratively with team membersOrganizational ability to complete assigned work and manage changing staffing and caseload levelsKnowledge of proper body mechanicsDemonstrate basic computer skillsCompetencies in other languages an asset, French preferredAccess to reliable transportation Please ensure your resume is up to date and includes all relevant education, experience, training, and certifications.HoursLong Assignment, Full-time (100%); 75 hours biweeklyApproximately 12 monthsShifts include weekdays, occasional weekends, and holidaysTravel may be requiredCompensation and Benefits$25.84 - $30.85 Hourly Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package which includes health, dental, travel, long-term disability, and life insurance coverage as well as a defined benefit pension plan. Once You've AppliedThank you for your interest in this position.
