Req ID: 212684Location: Eastern Zone, Cape Breton Regional Hospital  Department: OPEZ Physiotherapy CBRType of Employment: Permanent Hourly FT (100%) x 1 UNIFOR Healthcare PositionPosting Closing Date: 26-Nov-25About the OpportunityThe Physiotherapist reports to the Rehabilitation Services Manager and assesses, diagnoses and treats patients in a tertiary care setting who present with actual or potential impairment, pain, functional limitations or disabilities. Physiotherapy assessment involves obtaining a detailed medical history, performing specific and standardized tests and evaluation procedures to determine a physical diagnosis. Holistic treatment programs are developed using exercises, education, and manual, mechanical, electrical and hydrotherapy techniques to assist the patient in regaining and/or maintaining an optimal level of function. The Physiotherapist is educated and communicates with other health disciplines, the general public, family members and caregivers in regard to health promotion, physiotherapy treatment and patient management. This position provides supervision and evaluation of physiotherapy students and supervision of physiotherapy assistants and aides.
