As our growth creates new career opportunities, likely there is the right one for youMission Terus Construction, a division of Colas Western Canada Inc., is seeking seasonal Labourers to join our team in Cranbrook, BC. Main ResponsibilitiesGeneral labourer duties associated with road construction operations.Required ability to shovel, rake, and handle other small tools.Responsible for maintaining the quality of the mat by filling holes, raking, sweeping, and getting it ready for the rolling operation.Responsible for ensuring all the necessary tools are ready to go on the appropriate trucks for the day ahead.Aid the paver operator, screed operator, roller operator, and foreman to enable them to focus on their jobs.Assist in keeping all the equipment fueled, watered, greased, and cleaned.Operate equipment as needed.Yard, plant, and equipment clean-up as needed.Signal operators of construction equipment to facilitate alignment and movement of materials.Follow instructions from the supervisor/manager.Perform other ad hoc duties as required.Qualifications/ExperienceClass 5 Drivers License or equivalent preferredJunior position, no experience requiredWorking ConditionsOvertime as requiredWork is performed in an outdoor setting, which could include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphaltMust be physically able to work general labourMust be physically able to repetitively lift and carry 50 LBS as neededUse of personal protection equipment is requiredMust comply with the company’s drug and alcohol testing requirements The anticipated wage for this position is $26-$37 CAD per hour.
