We’re not just about insurance; we’re about making a real difference by protecting what matters most. The Opportunity:We currently have some exciting roles forComplex Property Claims Adjustersfor our Customer Response - Property team.Aviva recognizes the importance of being flexible and the benefits of beingtogether,this role will behybrid– the best of both worlds.Must be able to work rotating shifts during the hours of 7:00 AM to 8:00 PM Monday to Friday, and have flexibility to work some Saturdays only if needed.You willbe responsible forclaimsettlement ofpredominatelycomplex personallinesclaims via telephone with a key focus on quality and customer service. The successful candidate will work with premiere property vendors to quantify the claim and apply cost saving guidelines in the quantification of loss and expense without compromising the delivery of superior customer service.What you’ll do:Support our claims customer demand through a phone and text line environmentInvestigate and negotiate various Complex Personal Lines Claimsin accordance withAviva's claim procedures and guidelinesResponsible for confirming coverage and compiling FNOL information for incoming claimsStand as an expert andprovidein-depthclaims guidance/advice to customers,peersand other stakeholdersResponsible for data accuracy and the issuance of payments to vendors,insuredsand expertsReview and compile facts, policy, and technical reports, analyze estimates, value of claim and negotiate/settle claim accordinglyEffectivelyadviseand counsel customers on claim status, provide prompt and exemplary customer service and while keeping related parties informed of theclaimsstatusResponsible to ensure all correspondence is completed in a time efficient/effective manner including the creation of Critical Path, Proof of Loss and reservation of rights letters etc.Responsible for recognizing questionable claims, subrogation and risk opportunitiesandreviewing case law todetermineliability.Meets Property team performance expectations that are set individually andcontributes.to team successAdheres to and supports policies surrounding attendanceWhat you’ll bring:5+ Years of property claims experience, handling large losses and/or field tasksCIP designation completed or currently in progress; must have successfully completed at least one CIP courseAtlantic Licenses ObtainedHandling first-party commercial claimsare considered an asset,including but limited to building owner/tenant, businessincome ,stock, cargo, builder's risk,crimeand equipment claims for a wide variety of industriesAbility to work in a fast-paced environment to support customer demandHigh levelof comfort dealing directly with key commercial clients and brokers on all claim related issues and otherassistanceasrequiredComputer proficiency; Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, GuidewireHigh level of prioritization and organization skillsThink critically and coordinate with all stakeholders to ensure you receive the best outcomes.You are hardworking and a self-motivated problem-solverExcellent oral and written communication skills.Licenses for claims adjusting in any provinces (not a requirement but a big asset)Assist and support during high volume catastrophes as needed (Evenings and Weekends)What you’ll get:Please note that individual salary is determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experience, as well as internal equity.Compelling rewards package including base compensation, eligibility for annual bonus, retirement savings, share plan, health benefits, personal wellness, and volunteer opportunities.Outstanding Career Development opportunities.We’ll support your professional development education.Competitive vacation package with the option to purchase 5 extra days off per yearEmployee driven programs focused on gender, LGBTQ+, origins, diversity and inclusionCorporate wellness programs to support our employees’ physical and mental healthHybrid flexible work modelThis job advertisement is for an existing vacancy which has been posted both internally & externally.Aviva Canada may use AI (Artificial Intelligence) tools to assist us throughout the recruitment process to screen, assess or select applicants for a position.Aviva Canada welcomes applications from all qualified individuals and has a process in place to provide accommodations for persons with disabilities at all stages of the hiring process and during employment.
