Learn more about our journey at ppcr.ca.Job Summary: The Cabinetmaker will work both within the Cabinet Shop and out in the field on job sites. The worker will be involved with multiple projects at once, as required by the Cabinet Shop Manager and dictated by our volume of business. They will work with a team of Cabinetmakers and help them develop with our established system, as well as bring a positive influence to the group. Lastly, the Cabinetmaker will be reporting to Cabinet Shop Supervisor and Cabinet Shop Manager. Responsibilities: Detaching, installing, and building new cabinets, specifically, kitchen cabinetsLifting heavy materials required for completing the jobBeing able to draw and construct new buildsBeing able to measure, draw, layout, create a scope of work accuratelyDemonstrating skill in the safe operation of shop tools such as a table saw, shaper, router, paint sprayer, edge-banding machineReinforcing and trimming joints using nails or screwsFollowing all company policies and standards, including Occupational Health and Safety policies and proceduresPracticing good housekeeping on the job and in the warehouseHaving the creativity and adaptiveness to work at different job sites routinelyDisplaying good manners and attitude toward property owners, occupants of the property, co-workers, and sub-contractorsBeing a teaching resource for cabinetmaker apprentices to help with their developmentMaintaining professionalism with co-workers, homeowners, and clientsCollecting and preparing materials necessary to complete a jobIdentifying problems or barriers to finishing the project on time.Meeting timeline expectations required by the customer and project managerWilling to reasonably go above and beyond the scope of a job when necessaryCompleting your timecard dailyCompleting DARs daily. Benefits: After completing your probation period of three months, some of the benefits we offer include:FREE Extended Health and Dental BenefitsGroup Retirement Savings Plan (And RRSP Matching).Tuition Reimbursement.$500.00 per year for each paramedical service we offer (i.e., massage therapy, physiotherapy, chiropractor).$750.00 per year for Mental Health-related services, such as clinical psychologists, registered clinical counsellors, etc.An additional $500.00 per year for single plans and $1000.00 per year for family plans via our Health Care Spending Account to put towards your extended health and dental benefits.Long-Term Disability and Life Insurance.To learn more about some of our company benefits, head to: PPCR Benefits PageCompensationWage: $27.00 - $37.00 per hour (based on experience)Culture: We are a family-orientated and flexible work environment.
