We are currently seeking to hire detail-oriented HVAC Field Technicians for construction installation, maintenance and repairs of HVAC systems. You will be responsible for air quality systems from installation to end-of-life by performing maintenance, warranty and emergency repairs. Consistent regular work week provided, weekends on call not required. To be successful in this role, customer satisfaction, adaptability and the ability to work on your own and in a team are critical. Key Responsibilities Understanding of new installations of HVAC and Refrigeration systems Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems Providing technical direction and on-the-job training Ensuring compliance with appliance standards and with Occupational Health and Safety Act Complying with service standards, work instructions and customers' requirements Assisting with customers' queries Desired Skills & Experience Valid driver’s license Being in good standing with the Ontario College of Trades a must WAH, H&S Awareness, Scissor Lift, G1, 313A, ODP training certificates preferred 5+ year experience as a commercial HVAC Service technician, and willingness to continue education in HVAC field – on both the heating and cooling side Experience with refrigeration piping / construction as well as service (maintenance & break-fix troubleshooting) preferred Understanding of advanced principles of air conditioning, refrigeration and heating, boiler systems Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal skills Proficient in reading schematics and work plans Ability to work in confined spaces – certification in confined space preferred Excellent time management – as with autonomy comes greater responsibility Must have strong interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with clients with the ability to translate technical terms to common language for the end-user
