Job DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Employment Resource Advisor / Jr Employment Consultant to join our team in Kelowna, Canada. In this role, you will provide valuable guidance and support to job seekers, helping them navigate their career paths and achieve their employment goals.Conduct one-on-one sessions with clients to assess their employment needs and career goalsDevelop personalized action plans for job seekers, including job search strategies and career planningAssist clients with resume writing, cover letter development, and interview preparationFacilitate job search workshops and employment-related presentationsMaintain accurate client records and documentation in database systemsResearch and share information about local labor market trends and employment opportunitiesConnect clients with relevant community resources and employment programsMonitor client progress and provide ongoing support throughout their job search journeyCollaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive service deliveryMaintain updated knowledge of employment resources and job search toolsQualificationsBachelor's degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Social Work, or related field0-2 years of experience in career counseling, employment services, or related fieldStrong interpersonal and communication skills with a supportive and professional approachProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and database management systemsDemonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple client cases effectivelyExperience in resume writing and interview coaching (preferred)Knowledge of local labor market trends and employment opportunities in the Kelowna regionUnderstanding of current job search strategies and employment standardsCareer Development Practitioner certification is an assetAbility to work with diverse populations and demonstrate cultural sensitivityStrong presentation and facilitation skillsExcellent time management and organizational abilitiesAdditional InformationWhat we offer Competitive salary of $52,333 per yearComprehensive and flexible health and dental benefitsRRSP Matching program of 1.5% base earningsOngoing learning and development opportunitiesGenerous time-off policies that promote work/life balanceA diverse and inclusive workplace with a track record of high employee engagement and teamworkThe opportunity to do work that makes a differenceICWCGWORKBCKELDiversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging MatterWCG is strengthened by diversity.
