You will be responsible for checking guests in and out, coaching the team and maintaining the smooth flow of front desk services and daily operations of Eldorado Resort.What will you be doing? You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:Assist management in training, evaluating, counseling, motivating and coaching employees; serve as a role modelDevelop/maintain positive working relationships; support team to reach common goals; listen and respond appropriately to employee concernsSupervise and assist Front Desk team as requiredEnsure adherence to quality standards and serviceHandle complaints and provide resolutionAssist Front Office Manager as requiredServes as the property Manager on Duty as requiredFollow company and Front Office policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; complete safety trainingLearn and adhere to all fire and emergency procedures, including procedures for handling of the fire panel, ensuring guest safety and participate in an evacuation if necessaryHave a complete understanding of key systems (Onity & Salto)Speak using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquetteWelcome and acknowledge guests; anticipate and address guest needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciationMaintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assetsPrepare and review written documents accurately and completelyEnsure personal appearance is clean and professionalWhat are we looking for? To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:3+ years’ experience as Guest Services Agent or similarOpera PMS Experience an assetHigh School graduation requiredFirst Aid certification requiredAbility to plan, prioritize and complete multiple projects in a timely mannerAbility to develop common sense solutions to everyday problemsAbility to develop and motivate staff to achieve goalsAbility to work with all employees to promote teamwork and co-operative relationships within and across departmentsAbility to provide ongoing coaching to staff to enhance performanceAbility to stand, sit, or walk for an extended periodMove, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 50 poundsMust be available to work varied shifts: including days, evenings, overnights, weekends & holidaysFull open availability from May through end of SeptemberPerksEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Eldorado Marina, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Four Points Kelowna, Home2Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family
