You will be responsible for providing direct supervision of the team in relation to retail, boating operations, and fueling procedures in a professional and safe manner. Job Duties:You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:Lead by example, demonstrating a ‘can-do’ attitude.Maintain a positive, friendly working environment where employees feel comfortable and safe.Conflict Management – deliver a high level of guest service and professional judgment for any challenges that may arise at the Marina.Maintain a professional appearance ensuring consistent uniform and grooming policies are always adhered to.Sales/administration – a clear understanding of till operations, cash-out procedures, pump readings/fuel discrepancies, merchandise & inventory.Maintain a positive working relationship with all Marina vendors & Members.Demonstrate strong organizational, record-keeping, and time-management skills to complete all activities on time.Safety/Emergency Preparedness – The safety of all guests and staff is our #1 priority. Ensure proper safety equipment stored on watercraft, and monitor staff safety procedures at Marina, and at the fuel dock during watercraft rundowns.Cleanliness/Organization – maintain a high standard of watercraft cleanliness with a “hands-on approach”. Ability to maintain general organization at Marina, Ex. garbage/recycling, storage, shack, equipment, and vests.Enforce all policies, procedures, and ordinances dealing with the operation and maintenance of the Marina.Monitor fuel dock operation to ensure services to patrons.Maintain service buildings and Marina grounds.Communication with Marina Manager regarding guest and staff challenges, major watercraft damages, accidents, gas/maintenance concerns, and promotional initiativesWatercraft maintenance/repairs – follow up and collection for rental damage, consistent use of maintenance log, and servicing for all watercrafts.Supervise safe and efficient docking of boats.Rental reservations – consistent completion of rental agreements, watercraft check-in/out forms, and safety rundowns and ensure all staff are following proper rental procedures.Staff training/scheduling – consistent coaching of boat & gas staff, adjusting shifts based on weather, use of logbook for staff and guest concerns, planning ahead for next-day rentals/staffing.Job Requirements:To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following: Strong work ethic and “whatever it takes” attitude in and out of the Marina department.Experience in marina operations, including moorage, fuel, retail & soft goods.Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.Strong computer skills: Microsoft Office applications and the ability to master new technologies.Hours include weekends, holidays, and evenings ~ minimum 40 hours per week.S.V.O.P designation preferred.Sales and marketing background an asset.Mechanically efficient.Valid BC Driver’s License.Valid Boat License operator’s card.Knowledge of the safe operation of watercraft and all other rental equipment.PerksEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Eldorado Marina, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Four Points Kelowna, Home2Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family
