The GSA is expected to go above and beyond to ensure that guests experience our singularly unique lakeside hospitality.What will you be doing?You will be responsible for performing the following tasks to the highest standard:Consistently provide a high level of customer service to all guests and crewEnsure an efficient reception experience for guests, including check in/out, and complete audit procedures as requiredAccommodates any special requests whenever possible. Communicates information to the appropriate hotel personnel/departmentsWorks closely with the Housekeeping Department on room status reportsMaintains guest room key storage and supervises access to internetEnsure duty managers are kept fully aware of any relevant feedback from guests and other departmentsAchieve positive outcomes from guest requests in a timely and efficient matterDemonstrate knowledge of hotel room categories, room rates, packages, promotions and other general product knowledge as necessary to perform daily dutiesMaximize room occupancy and practice up-selling techniques to promote hotel services and facilitiesUse the correct procedures regarding the acceptance of foreign currencies, credit cards and cash in accordance with hotel credit policyAccurately notes and enters guest parking passes (seasonal)Comply with hotel security, fire regulations and all health and safety legislationAct in accordance with policies and procedures when working with front of house equipment and property management systemsFollow company policies and proceduresWhat are we looking for?To successfully fill this role, you should demonstrate the following:Previous experience in a customer-focused industryPrevious experience in a hotel/front desk role, knowledge of OPERA property management system, an assetPositive attitude and excellent communication skillsCommitment to delivering a high level of customer serviceExcellent grooming standardsAbility to work on your own and as part of a teamAbility to stand for long periods of timeCompetent level of computer proficiencyAbility to work flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends and holidaysPerksEmployee discounts on accommodations, dining and marina at our sister properties (Hotel Eldorado, Manteo Resort, Eldorado Marina, Hampton Inn & Suites Kelowna Airport, Four Points Kelowna, Home2Suites)An excellent work environment, with a focus on staff recognition and teambuildingRoom for growth and development Don't miss this exciting opportunity to join our Eldorado Resort family
