It is also one of Canada’s largest academically affiliated tertiary care hospitals with highly specialized regional programs in advanced cardiac, vascular, stroke, neurosciences, orthopedic, and sexual assault/domestic violence services.Position: Full-Time Security Guard  Site: THP - 2085 Hurontario Street, Mississauga Averaging Agreement : Overtime is Employment Standards Act (ESA)Hours: Monday to Friday (0830 - 1700)Payrate: $20.24 / an hourPosting Date: January 8th, 2026 Internal Closing Date: January 14th, 2026External Closing Date: January 14th, 2025JoB DutiesWorking on assigned shifts, you will work by providing proactive and reactive security patrols and responses to incidents in the PCL Building. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents Display excellent customer service skills and be able to work with people who are under stress or in need of medical assistance This role requires you to be physically fit and able to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods of time Monitor for and escalate security concernsAssist in developing security plans for high-risk patients Provide security presence and support throughout the PCL BuildingUtilize verbal de-escalation techniques to manage conflicts Oversee and support patient watch guards Work closely with local Law Enforcement and Emergency Services Ensure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors within the PCL BuildingAssist hospital staff with patient restraints as required or directed according to standard operating procedures Adhere to all hospital policy and procedures and maintain compliance   Prerequisites:Valid Security License for the province of OntarioValid First Aid & CPR - Level C (from a WSIB-approved vendor)Covid Vaccine two dosesImmunization records for Mumps, Measles, Rubella, Varicella and two step TB skin testEnglish (oral and written) fluency is a mustPrevious experience in security, law enforcement, or a related field preferred.Diploma in Justice studies/police foundations is considered an asset. Vulnerable Sector Check - to be completed upon hire  Must be able to provide certifications in Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB)Applicants lacking these certifications can opt into Paladin's UoF/MOAB Certification program prior to their onboarding training to ensure they meet the requirements of the positionPlease be aware: The UoF/MOAB Certification is not paid as it is a pre-requisite; however, Paladin will cover all of the costs of the training with a 6-month commitment to the position/availabilityLegally Authorized to work in Canada Why Choose Paladin?Opportunities for training and professional development Competitive salary and benefits package. Free Uniforms  Security license reimbursement  Enjoy financial flexibility with on – demand, daily pay
